Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

NUJMS – Submission Final Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript, please confirm that you have completed the following requirements by checking the box below:

You have read and followed the NUJMS Guide for Authors and ensured the manuscript (text, tables, and figures) meets all formatting and style requirements.

 The manuscript includes all required sections (as per the Guide for Authors) and follows the correct structure.

 You have performed a thorough spell-check and grammar check.

 All authors have read NUJMS policies on Ethics in Publishing, Plagiarism Prevention, Violation of Publication Ethics, and Misconduct Handling (available under About the Journal – Policies).

 The work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal.

 All authors meet the ICMJE authorship criteria and have approved the final version of the manuscript.

 The order of authorship has been agreed upon by all contributors.

 The corresponding author and all co-authors are registered on the NUJMS submission system, so their names appear correctly in the bio-sketches.

 You have disclosed any use of AI-assisted tools in the work, with details in the cover letter.

 A Conflict of Interest Disclosure has been completed by all authors.

You grant Ninevah University Journal of Medical Sciences (NUJMS) the exclusive right to publish, distribute, and archive the work in any format or medium worldwide.
You understand that the article will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), which allows unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided the original work is properly cited.
You accept that NUJMS may make editorial changes to style and format without altering the scientific content.

 

 You confirm the Author Contribution Statement, specifying each author’s role according to ICMJE criteria.
